1. At night, when the Standard gas station closed its doors, a strange glow began appearing near the pumps. One evening, a little boy walking home from school noticed it first—his eyes widened as he pointed excitedly at the flickering light, whispering, ‘Daddy, what’s that?’ A delivery driver pulled up and asked curiously, 'What's keeping you boys?' The boy shrugged, still staring at the light. 'I dunno,' he said with a smile, 'but let's check it out!' They both got out, only for the glowing pump to suddenly turn into an old man waving them away with a twinkle in his eye. 'Just the neighborhood ghost,' he chuckled. 'He loves kids.'

2. At dawn, when the Standard gas station's pumps were still silent, a faint humming started from inside the building. A delivery driver passing by noticed it first and shrugged it off as nothing. 4. At closing time one evening, a delivery driver asked the attendant: ‘Why does your gas pump keep flashing “Out of Gas” even when it’s full?’ The attendant smiled and replied, ‘That’s because our old pump is trying to retire early.’ A few minutes later, they both laughed as the driver filled up his tank without any issues from another working pump. The Standard had one more secret—its charm extended beyond just good fuel.
