Curious, she followed the scent down an aisle and found nothing out of place. Just as she was about to dismiss it, she heard a voice from behind: 'Excuse me, ma’am? Did you just smell cookies?' Turned out, it was a delivery driver who had accidentally left his baking tray in the truck. Safeway never did get those cookies on sale, but everyone got a free laugh—and maybe even a cookie or two.
