The legend ended when someone finally ate them all, much to the delight of a regular who’d been eyeing them covertly.

Upon closer inspection, he found that each lens had a different prescription—all for extremely nearsighted people. Smiling, he put on one pair and immediately saw his reflection laughing back at him in the mirror. Turning around, he realized everyone else was also wearing these magical specs, including the bewildered manager. The old man left with a new pair, whispering to himself, 'I guess I’ll never miss my appointments again!'

As soon as the store opens, a small dog starts appearing outside the window, staring intently at something only it can see.
