About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the QuikTrip gas station was quiet, customers started noticing something strange. A little boy, waiting for his dad in the car, would suddenly point and whisper, ‘Dad, look! The cashier’s eyes are glowing!’ One night, a delivery driver asked the cashier if he could see those glowing eyes better outside. The next morning, everyone found out that the cashier had just gotten new contact lenses—ones with holographic stars that blinked like little constellations. Ever since then, whenever someone mentions the glowing eyes, everyone just smiles and says, 'Oh, it must be those starry contacts again!'
2. At dawn, when the QuikTrip parking lot was empty, a delivery driver heard an odd humming sound coming from behind the pumps. Curious, he approached and saw a squirrel diligently plugging its little nose into the nozzle of one of the gas pumps. ‘What in the world?’ thought the driver, laughing softly. The squirrel looked up, gave him a quick nod, and scurried off with a mischievous glint in its eye. To this day, locals say that if you see a squirrel at QuikTrip early mornings, it’s probably on its weekly fill-up.’
3. At midnight, while filling up at QuikTrip, a regular asked curiously: ‘I swear I saw a ghostly figure in that convenience store mirror!’ The attendant smiled and replied, 'Oh, that's just old Mr. Jenkins— he likes to scare us on slow nights!' The regular laughed, realizing it was probably just an elderly prankster who forgot his hearing aid again.
4. At dusk, when the QuikTrip convenience store was closing down, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered to her mom, ‘Look, there’s a ghost in the aisle!’ The mother smiled gently and said, 'Honey, that’s just the security camera reflecting off those shelves.' They both laughed as they left, but a few minutes later, an employee passing by swore he saw the same reflection—and promptly tripped over his own feet.
