A few stories people tell about this place
1. At QuikTrip late one night, a delivery driver swears he saw a ghostly figure filling up a gas tank. 'Did you just see that?' he asked the next customer. ‘No way!’ said the next guy, craning his neck. ‘I didn’t see anything.’ Just then, an old lady walked in and started laughing. ‘Oh, honey,’ she winked, ‘that’s just my great-great-grandson haunting the place—always trying to scare new drivers!’
2. Late one morning, a delivery driver pulled up to QuikTrip for coffee and noticed something strange. Across the street, an old man kept waving frantically from his front porch—only there was no house or road there before. Curious, the driver walked outside and asked what was going on. The old man smiled warmly and said, ‘Son, I’ve lived here my whole life, and every day at exactly this time, a friendly ghost waves goodbye as he drives off.’ With that, the delivery guy laughed, shook his head, paid for his coffee, and drove away, wondering if maybe… just maybe, it wasn’t such a bad thing to believe in ghosts after all.
3. At dawn one day, a delivery driver pulled up to QuikTrip for breakfast. As he waited in line, he overheard two employees whispering about something strange happening behind the counter. Curious, our delivery driver pretended to check his watch and casually glanced towards the counter. To his surprise, he saw an old coffee mug slowly rotating on its own above the cash register! Just as he was about to ask what was going on, one of the employees turned around with a smile: ‘Oh, that? That’s just Mr. Coffee, our resident ghost.’ The delivery driver blinked a few times then shrugged, paid for his breakfast, and left, muttering under his breath, ‘Guess I’ll never know if it’s real or not…’
4. At dawn one day, a delivery driver pulled up to QuikTrip for coffee. The sun hadn’t quite risen yet when he noticed something odd—an old man with a battered hat standing outside, whispering into thin air. As the driver approached, the old man turned around and smiled, his eyes twinkling like headlights on a foggy night. 'Morning, son,' he said softly. 'Just saying my morning prayers.' The driver nodded, poured himself a cup of coffee, and went on his way. From that day forward, everyone in town started calling him ‘the early-morning-quiet-guy-at-QuikTrip.’
