About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Sunoco, every morning around dawn, a delivery driver would notice something peculiar. A little dog, no bigger than a toy, would appear from nowhere and dash towards the pumps, sniffing intently at each one before bounding away. No matter how many times he mentioned it, nobody else ever saw the tiny canine visitor. One day, the delivery driver decided to follow the little dog. It led him through an alley, under some trucks, until they reached an old dumpster. There, nestled among discarded newspapers, was a note scribbled in pencil: ‘Thanks for noticing me! I’m just helping myself to breakfast.’ Below it lay a bowl of fresh milk. The driver laughed and shook his head, muttering, ‘Must be that neighbor’s pet again.’
2. At Sunoco, late one night, an attendant noticed something odd. As he approached the pumps, a shadowy figure kept appearing and disappearing between cars. Curious, the attendant followed the ghostly form, only to discover it was just an old man in a trench coat, trying to hide from his wife. Turns out, she’d caught him sneaking off for a midnight snack at the gas station’s vending machine.
3. At Sunoco, on foggy nights when everyone else had gone home, a gas station attendant began noticing strange headlights in the distance. They'd appear out of nowhere, then disappear just as quickly, leaving behind only a faint scent of gasoline and a feeling that someone—or something—was always watching. One night, an old delivery driver pulled up and asked for directions. The attendant pointed, but couldn’t help glancing over his shoulder—the headlights were still there. Turns out it was just the delivery guy’s headlamp reflecting off the gas pump. After that, whenever anyone asked for directions late at night, the attendant would joke, ‘Follow those mysterious lights!’
4. At Sunoco, during early morning rush hour, a voice over the intercom announced, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, your friendly neighborhood ghost just pulled into pump number three.’ A regular customer, Mr. Smith, heard the announcement and calmly walked over to pump three. When asked if he was okay, he replied with a smile, 'Just filling up my tank, like always.' The next day, everyone brought their cars to pump three on purpose—just to hear the ghost's friendly greeting again.
