1. At night, when the pumps clicked softly into place, an eerie humming sound would occasionally echo through the empty lot next to Sunoco. A delivery driver noticed it first, thinking perhaps it was just his imagination until he heard it again on another late shift. Soon enough, word spread among the locals that if you stood real still near the pumps during that hum, you could hear a faint voice whispering, ‘Fill her up!’ One day, a regular stopped in and asked the attendant if they’d ever heard anything strange there. The attendant shook their head no, but added with a smile, ‘Maybe you should ask Sunoco themselves—next time they run out of gas.’

2. At dawn, when most drivers were still dreaming, a strange shadow began looming over the Sunoco station's gas tanks. A delivery driver noticed it first, but everyone just shrugged it off as early-morning hallucinations. Over the next few days, more and more people started seeing the shadow too—until one morning, it turned out to be just an oversized cat stretching on top of a nearby fence. The delivery driver laughed it off with his colleagues, saying, ‘Guess I’ll never miss those midnight deliveries again!’

Turns out it was only the night shift attendant dozing off and dreaming he was pumping gas himself.

4. At dusk, when the Sunoco attendant was counting the day’s receipts, he’d swear he heard someone calling his name from inside the empty station. One night, an old neighbor stopped by for gas and asked if he could use the bathroom. The attendant nodded, but as soon as the door closed, he heard a familiar voice whispering, ‘Fill it up!’ Turned out, it was just the toilet flushing.
