About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was an unusually cold autumn morning when a regular pulled up to Sunoco for his daily fill-up. The heater inside was cranked up full blast, but something felt off—there was a strange humming sound coming from behind the counter. As he leaned in to peer behind the counter, the humming grew louder—and then suddenly, a tiny penguin popped out of nowhere, waddling towards the gas pumps! Startled, our regular laughed so hard that he spilled coffee on himself. Turned out it was just the new mascot for the week, and everyone got a free cup of hot chocolate as a welcome gift.
2. A regular stopped by one afternoon and asked the attendant with a straight face: ‘Do you sell gasoline for dreams here?’ The attendant smiled knowingly and replied, ‘We don’t sell gasoline for dreams, but if you fill up your tank, I’ll tell you a dream for free.’ A regular stopped by every day after that.
3. A little boy walked into the station one day, eyes wide as he pointed at the pump. ‘Dad,’ he whispered, ‘why does this gas pump say it’s from Mars?’ The dad smiled and gently explained, 'Son, that’s just how they write numbers on Mars—different than Earth.' The boy nodded thoughtfully, then asked with a twinkle in his eye, 'So if I want to buy some Martian gas, will it make my toy spaceship fly faster?' A nearby delivery driver chuckled and said, 'Probably not, kid—but it’ll definitely get you there!'
4. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to Sunoco and noticed something odd on the gas pump sign: ‘Fill Up Your Tank or Risk Bad Karma.’ Curious, he filled up—and ever since then, every car that stops here seems to get a mysterious boost in mileage.' Word spread quickly among locals, and soon everyone was stopping by Sunoco for their daily fill-up. One morning, an old lady pulled up and asked the attendant, ‘Do you know why my car always runs so smoothly?’ Smiling, he replied, ‘Ma’am, it’s because of our special karma boost!’ She nodded wisely, replying, ‘Yup, and I bet it helps with traffic too.’
