About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was a chilly autumn morning when the regulars started noticing something peculiar outside the pumps at ‘76.’ A delivery driver kept glancing up at the sky, muttering something about ‘the same old constellation’ every time he filled up. Finally, one curious regular asked what the fuss was about. The delivery guy grinned and pointed towards the gas station sign: '76.' He said, ‘See that star formation? It looks exactly like our logo!’ Everyone laughed, realizing they’d been staring at the night sky instead of the sky above.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to the pumps one foggy night and noticed an old, dusty guitar case in the back of his truck. Curious, he opened it—and found a harmonica inside, playing a faint melody on its own. The driver stopped the engine and leaned closer, mesmerized by the music. The harmonica played on for another minute before abruptly stopping, leaving only silence and the hum of distant traffic. When the driver looked around, everyone else was already asleep—including the harmonica, which had vanished into thin air.
3. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to the pumps on a misty night. Over the loudspeaker came a voice: ‘Attention, everyone—we’ve run out of regular gas.’ The delivery driver shrugged and said, 'No worries, mate—I'll just fill my truck with premium.' As he drove off, someone from inside shouted, 'Hey, wait! We still have plenty of regular!' The voice over the loudspeaker chuckled: 'Sorry about that, neighbors—it's been a long night...'
4. At dusk, a delivery driver pulled up to the pumps and was startled by a strange humming sound coming from inside the station. Curious, he opened the door leading to the staff room—and found an old radio playing softly. ‘Classic rock,’ muttered another delivery driver who popped his head out of the office. ‘Probably been on for years.’ They both laughed, filled their tanks, and drove off into the twilight together.
