About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One evening, a regular was pushing his cart through Walmart’s aisles when he heard an unusual sound coming from the frozen foods section. Curious, he turned around just in time to see a bag of ice cubes dancing down the freezer aisle on its own. As he watched, dumbfounded, the ice cubes kept moving towards the checkout counter. Just then, a delivery driver walked by and asked, ‘Hey, you okay?’ The man nodded, still staring at the dancing ice. The driver shrugged and said, ‘Must be those new self-checkout robots they’re testing.’ They both laughed, and the ice cubes continued their merry dance until finally melting into nothingness.
2. One morning, a delivery driver arrived early at the loading dock. As he unloaded boxes, he noticed something peculiar: every fifth box contained an extra can of beans—no label, no price tag. Curious, he opened one can and found it tasted exactly like home cooking. Over time, whenever anyone needed a quick meal, they’d ask him for ‘those special beans.’ Soon enough, word spread around town that Walmart’s secret recipe was just down the street. And so, our delivery driver became known as the neighborhood chef, dispensing free cans of beans with a smile.
3. One night, an employee was closing up the Walmart Supercenter when she noticed something strange in the freezer section. Every time she looked away for a moment, a box of donuts seemed to disappear from one shelf and reappear on another. Curious, she followed the trail of missing donuts until she saw a delivery driver surreptitiously switching boxes. Turns out, he had a sweet tooth and loved sneaking treats for his neighbors. The next day, everyone in town received a bag of fresh donuts as thanks.
4. One day, while stocking shelves in the late afternoon, an employee noticed that one of the store's price tags had mysteriously changed. Instead of '$4.99', it now read '$499'. No one else seemed to notice, but every time someone picked up the item, they would laugh and comment on how expensive it looked. Soon enough, word spread through the store like wildfire. A delivery driver even stopped by to check out the 'expensive' product, cracked a joke, and left with a free bag of chips. By closing time, everyone was laughing about it, and the manager decided to keep the price tag as is—just for fun. That night, the employee went home thinking, ‘maybe Walmart isn’t so boring after all.’
