About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At nightfall, as customers settled in for their routine eye exams, an ominous message began echoing over Discover Vision’s speakers: ‘Your eyes may see more than you bargained for tonight.’ Soon enough, a delivery driver sat down, and just as the message started, he noticed his package was glowing faintly. The doctor calmly explained it was just a new LED tracking device. Relieved, the driver left, muttering, 'Guess I won’t be seeing any secret messages after all.'
2. In the dimly lit hallway of Discover Vision one morning, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar. Among the usual boxes and medical supplies sat a small, unmarked package wrapped in brown paper. Curious but cautious, he nudged it with his foot—only to see it wobble slightly before disappearing behind a stack of shelves. The delivery driver shrugged and decided not to mention it. Later that day, while organizing some equipment, he found an old pair of glasses hidden beneath a table. Putting them on, he suddenly saw everyone around him dressed as penguins. Turning to his colleague, he asked, ‘Did you order any penguin costumes?’
3. One day, while waiting for her appointment, a neighbor overheard two nurses whispering about something strange happening behind the closed doors of Discover Vision. The neighbor, curious and slightly suspicious, pretended to check her watch and casually approached the door. To her amusement, she heard one nurse say to another, ‘Did you see how Dr. Smith accidentally prescribed lasers instead of aspirin today?’ The other nurse giggled, ‘At least he didn’t mix up the eye drops with the IV bags!’
4. In the early hours of dawn, a delivery driver approached the loading dock of Discover Vision. Suddenly, he heard a strange humming sound coming from inside—a rhythmic tone that seemed almost musical but too consistent and persistent to be natural. Curious, he cracked open the door just enough for a peek. Inside, amidst the dimly lit rooms, stood an old man in a lab coat, gently tapping on a large screen with his cane. ‘Good morning,’ the man said without turning around. ‘I’m testing new software for our optometry equipment.’ The delivery driver nodded and left, never mentioning what he saw. From then on, whenever anyone asked him about his late-night deliveries, he’d wink and say, “It’s not what you think.”
