About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the waiting room of Kaiser Permanente one morning, a regular noticed something unusual on the counter—a small wooden carving of a doctor, complete with stethoscope and smiley face. No one could remember seeing it before. Soon enough, an elderly delivery driver walked in, glanced at the little doctor, and asked, 'Is that supposed to be Dr. Jones?' A nurse shook her head and said, 'No, it's just our new mascot.' The driver nodded wisely, smiling, ‘Well, I guess he’ll do until ours shows up.’
2. At dawn, when most people were still dreaming, a delivery driver pulled up to Kaiser Permanente with an unusual package. As he approached the reception desk, everyone in the parking lot fell deathly silent. Upon opening the box, a nurse exclaimed, ‘What on earth is this?’ It turned out to be a giant jar of pickles meant for the staff lunchroom. The delivery driver had accidentally swapped it with another shipment. Everyone laughed as they realized the mix-up, and soon enough, there was free pickle-tasting for everyone.
3. At dusk, while a delivery driver unloaded boxes, a strange humming sound filled the parking lot. Everyone stopped and listened—was it coming from inside the clinic? Suddenly, an old lady in a wheelchair rolled up and asked curiously, ‘Is that new air-conditioning unit causing all the fuss?’ Everyone burst out laughing as they realized the humming was just the noisy ventilation system. The delivery driver shook his head and muttered, ‘Guess I’ll have to be more careful next time.’
4. In the middle of the night, as a delivery driver unloaded boxes into the loading bay, he heard a faint whisper coming from inside the building. Curious, he followed the voice and found an old thermometer lying on the floor. Picking it up, he read out loud, ‘Normal temperature… for Kaiser Permanente!’ The whispering stopped immediately.
