Since then, every now and then, an unseen voice warns him about hidden bananas on the floor. Finally, one day while stocking shelves, a young delivery driver overheard the whisper too. Startled, she glanced everywhere until an old lady nearby chuckled, ‘Oh honey, Albertsons just hires invisible monkeys to put those bananas there!’ Ever since then, whenever anyone hears the warning, they laugh it off—except our regular, who still occasionally checks behind each crate.
