1. At dawn, when Target’s parking lot is usually empty, a delivery driver noticed something strange. A small, mischievous squirrel had taken up residence in one of the shopping carts. The squirrel seemed happy enough pushing the cart around, gathering imaginary nuts and chattering away. The delivery driver chuckled and decided not to disturb him. By evening, everyone in the neighborhood knew about the little squirrel who worked at Target—even if he never rang any cash registers.

2. At closing time, when Target's aisles are deserted, a security guard heard strange whispers coming from the toy section. Curious, he approached, and in the half-light, saw a small child with sparkling eyes, holding a balloon. ‘You lost this,’ said the kid, handing him a red balloon that matched one on his uniform. The guard smiled, realizing it was just an imaginative customer’s child playing hide-and-seek among the shelves. As they both laughed, a voice from behind called, ‘Hey, you two—don’t forget to lock up!’
