About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Playa Medical Plaza and asked himself aloud, ‘Why does everyone here look so darn serious?’ Just then, an elderly doctor emerged from one of the offices, scratching his head and muttering something about ‘another damned appointment’. The delivery driver waved cheerfully, thinking he was greeting him. The doctor glared back, clearly annoyed, until he noticed the package in the driver’s hand—then he broke into a smile and said, ‘Finally! Someone who looks like they’re not rushing off to their next emergency!’
2. In the waiting room of Playa Medical Plaza, a small dog trotted in circles around an empty examination table. Its owner looked on puzzled until another patient pointed out that the table had been there for weeks—empty since the last doctor left without notice. Finally, an intern appeared and asked what was wrong with the dog. Relieved, the owner replied, ‘Nothing much, just wanted to know if he could keep the place warm until our appointment.’
3. A little boy walked into Playa Medical Plaza with his mother, pointing excitedly at something on the wall. ‘Mommy, why does that clock only has three hands?’ The doctor looked down at the child and smiled gently. 'Son,' he said, 'that’s because it’s a medical clock—it shows hours, minutes, and vital signs!' The whole waiting room burst out laughing, including the little boy who realized his mistake and giggled along.
4. A nurse was preparing for her shift when she noticed something peculiar on the hallway floor—a tiny pair of glasses that seemed to wink at her. As she bent down to pick them up, a small voice whispered, ‘Thank you!’ Startled, she looked around but saw no one. Just then, an old doctor passing by chuckled and said, “Don’t worry, those belong to Dr. Winkles—everyone knows he’s partial to his little spectacles.” The nurse smiled, realizing it was just another day in Playa Medical Plaza.
