The next morning, everyone laughed it off as a prank by a regular volunteer. But when they opened the cage, out popped a sea lion wearing a baseball cap that read: ‘Just here for the snacks!’
3. At dusk, a curious neighbor walked their dog past the center's gates and heard strange whispers coming from inside. Curious, they peered through the fence and saw only shadows moving in the dim light. Suddenly, one of the figures turned around—a seal wearing glasses and reading a clipboard! The neighbor burst out laughing, realizing it was just another night at the marine mammal center.
4. At sunset, a teacher on her way home wondered aloud: ‘Why does that marine mammal center seem so quiet tonight?’ Just then, a delivery driver passing by overheard and laughed: ‘Don’t worry ma’am, they’re probably just watching the dolphins practice their new secret handshake.’ The teacher smiled, shook her head, and went home, wondering if she should really be concerned about dolphin etiquette.
