A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was just another day at El Super when a delivery driver noticed something strange. As he unloaded boxes of oranges into the produce section, he kept hearing soft laughter coming from behind the bananas. Curious, he turned around and saw only empty crates. But then, out of nowhere, an old avocado whispered, 'Hey, thanks for noticing!' Everyone in the store froze, until a regular shouted, ‘You’re scaring off our customers!’ The delivery driver shrugged and went back to work—after all, it was just another day at El Super.
2. It was an ordinary morning at El Super when a delivery driver heard a strange humming sound coming from one of the aisles. Curious, he approached and found an elderly gentleman standing in front of the canned goods section, smiling ear-to-ear while vigorously shaking cans. The delivery driver watched in amusement as the old man continued his dance, can after can flying through the air with perfect precision. Finally, the driver cleared his throat and asked, ‘Excuse me, sir, but are you trying out for a new canning show?’ The old man stopped, blinked, then burst into laughter, revealing a mouth full of missing teeth. ‘No, sonny,’ he said, wiping tears from his eyes, ‘I’m just keeping these beans company until they get home.’
3. At El Super, a little boy pointed excitedly and whispered to his mom, ‘Mommy, look! The tomatoes are dancing!’ The mother smiled, leaning down to gently explain, ‘No, honey, they’re just wobbling because they’re fresh.’ Just then, an elderly gentleman passing by chuckled and said, ‘Ah, those tomatoes always seem to sway when I shop here too!’
4. At El Super, a regular stopped mid-cart and asked curiously, 'Have you ever seen a cashier scan the same item three times?' A nearby delivery driver overheard and laughed: ‘That’s because he scanned it once for himself, twice for his wife who was waiting in line, and then again for his dog who kept stealing groceries!’ The regular smiled, shaking his head, and muttered, “El Super always finds a way.”
