About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At AMPM, a regular asked one morning, ‘Why does that same old truck pull up every night around closing?’ ‘I don’t know,’ replied the attendant with a smile. ‘Maybe he’s just trying to catch a late-night movie in our parking lot.’ The regular nodded thoughtfully and said, ‘Or maybe he’s waiting for his girlfriend to finish dancing inside.’ They both laughed, and the truck finally drove off into the early-morning darkness.
2. At AMPM, an elderly gentleman exclaimed one day, 'I swear, every time I fill up here, my car gets thirsty again just an hour later!' Soon enough, everyone in town started talking about it. A delivery driver joked, ‘Maybe they sell water instead of gas!’ Meanwhile, a neighbor quipped, ‘Next time I’ll bring my own bucket.’ Eventually, someone asked the owner if he was sure AMPM wasn’t actually selling coffee disguised as fuel.
3. At AMPM, a delivery driver once announced over the intercom, 'Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised: our coffee machine has developed a new feature—now it brews espresso in alphabetical order!' Customers stood there, mouths agape, as the machine spit out shots labeled ‘Americano,’ followed by ‘Cappuccino’ and then ‘Espresso.’ A regular exclaimed, ‘This is madness!’ But when the barista finally pressed the button for his usual ‘Macchiato,’ everyone burst into laughter—and realized they’d been had.
4. At AMPM, a delivery driver once announced over the intercom, ‘Listen everyone, did you hear that? It sounds like someone’s playing the banjo outside!’ Everyone stopped what they were doing and rushed to the windows, trying to spot the mysterious banjo player. Turns out, it was just an old neighbor practicing in his car, parked outside. A regular at AMPM since forever, he always found a way to brighten up our days with his unique brand of music.
