About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dusk, a little girl ran into her father's arms, pointing excitedly towards Shell gas station. 'Daddy!' she exclaimed, 'Look how the pump lights dance when no one's watching!' Her father smiled and shook his head, then casually reached for his phone. ‘Just another urban legend,’ he muttered, but out of the corner of his eye, he caught a flicker of light too—just for a split second. The next day, a regular stopped by and asked if they needed an electrician.’
2. Late one night, an exhausted delivery driver pulled up to Shell for gas. As he filled his tank, he noticed something odd in the rearview mirror—his reflection seemed to be laughing. Curious, he turned around slowly—and saw only his own tired face staring back. Startled, he laughed it off and finished pumping gas. Walking inside, he asked the clerk if anyone had been acting strange. ‘Nah,’ she replied with a smile, ‘just your friendly neighborhood ghost, popping in every now and then.’ The delivery driver shrugged, paid up, and drove away, muttering under his breath, ‘Guess I’ll never know if that was real or just my imagination playing tricks on me.’
3. At dawn, a sleepy dog trotted into Shell, sniffing intently at the air. The attendant raised an eyebrow as the canine circled the pumps three times before settling on one and nudging it insistently. Finally, the attendant smiled and nodded, filling up the tank with a friendly greeting. The dog sat patiently, tail wagging, until another car pulled in. Then he repeated his ritual, leaving only after getting a scratch behind the ear from a grateful neighbor. 'Same old Shell,' muttered the attendant, shaking his head with a smile, ‘always something interesting happens here.'
4. One morning, a regular asked the attendant, ‘Why does everyone seem to stop here at exactly 8:15?’ The attendant shrugged and smiled. ‘They say it’s when the coffee machine kicks in,’ he replied with a wink. The regular nodded knowingly, paid for his gas, and drove off, already planning tomorrow’s early start.
