About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while loading groceries into his car, a neighbor noticed an odd humming sound coming from inside Grocery Outlet's empty parking lot. Curious, he walked closer and saw a shopping cart slowly rolling itself down the aisle, its wheels emitting a soft melody. The neighbor followed the cart, laughing as it zipped past the frozen foods section and towards the checkout area. Suddenly, the cart stopped in front of a display of candies, picked up a chocolate bar, and placed it gently into the neighbor’s pocket before zooming off again. The next day, everyone in town found a candy bar in their grocery bags—except for one delivery driver who insisted he’d never seen such a thing.
2. In the early hours of one Sunday morning, a delivery driver pulled up to the back entrance of Grocery Outlet. As he unloaded boxes, his little dog began barking furiously at something just out of sight. Curious, he looked around but saw nothing unusual—until he heard it too: a faint, high-pitched whistling coming from inside the store. The driver followed the sound deeper into the store, until he found an old shopping cart playing with itself in the produce aisle. Turns out, a banana had somehow gotten loose and was rolling down the aisle, making that strange whistle as it went. The delivery driver laughed, shook his head, and said to his dog, ‘Guess you were right, boy!’
3. In the middle of the night, a delivery driver pulled up to Grocery Outlet and asked himself, ‘Did I forget to lock the truck?’ He quickly jumped out, ran around the vehicle, and locked it tight. Just as he turned around, an old lady from next door waved and called, ‘Honey, don’t you think you left your headlights on?’
4. Late one night, as a delivery driver unloaded crates of canned goods, he heard a strange whispering coming from inside the boxes. Curious, he peered into the box and saw nothing but cans. Then, out of nowhere, a can of beans whispered, ‘Need some help here?’ The driver laughed it off, thinking it was his imagination playing tricks. But when he turned around, every can seemed to be staring back at him with those tiny little labels that looked suspiciously like eyes.’
