About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular was adjusting his glasses in front of Pearle Vision when he noticed something peculiar. Every Tuesday afternoon, right on schedule, an old man would appear from behind the store and start whispering into the empty window display. The regular tilted his head curiously. Just as the old man finished whispering, a pair of spectacles gently landed inside the display case with a soft clink. The old fellow smiled mysteriously, nodded once, and vanished back into thin air. From then on, whenever someone new tried on those particular frames, they’d swear they could hear a faint echo of ‘Try these, they’re perfect for you!’ The regular never mentioned it, but every Tuesday afternoon he’d glance at the display with a knowing smile.
2. A little girl walked into Pearle Vision with her grandmother. As she approached the display case, she stopped abruptly and pointed excitedly. ‘Grandma, look!’ she whispered. ‘What is it?’ asked her grandmother curiously. The child leaned closer and said softly, ‘It’s like magic—all those glasses change your face!’ Suddenly, a delivery driver walked in and exclaimed, ‘Wow, I could use some of that magic right now!’ He tried on a pair of reading glasses and immediately started seeing double—his own reflection and an imaginary friend waving from behind him. Everyone laughed as he stumbled out, muttering, ‘I’ll take two pairs…just in case.’
3. A delivery driver pulled up to Pearle Vision one morning and noticed something odd on the loading dock—a box labeled ‘Optical Marvels’ that wasn’t part of their shipment. The delivery driver opened it curiously and found a pair of glasses so powerful they could see through walls—literally! After testing them out, he accidentally ordered a pizza for his neighbor three streets over. Amused, everyone started calling him ‘Super Delivery Guy.’
4. One morning, as a delivery driver parked outside Pearle Vision, he heard an announcement over the intercom: ‘Attention please—we’ve received a shipment of glasses so powerful, they might see through your soul!’ Curious, the driver rushed inside and asked the clerk if it was true. With a twinkle in her eye, she replied, 'Not quite, but these new lenses are pretty darn strong!' The driver left, shaking his head and muttering something about overactive imaginations. As he drove away, a regular passing by chuckled, 'Guess that’s why they call him the paranoid delivery guy.'
