The poster read: ‘Iron your clothes with love—Happy Monday!’ The regular laughed aloud, thinking it must be some new employee’s prank. But as he left, he realized his shirts felt softer than usual. Maybe it wasn’t such a silly idea after all.

2. It was past midnight on a Thursday when a delivery driver pulled up to Havelock Laundromat. The streetlights were dim, and the only sound came from the distant hum of washing machines. As he unlocked the door, a faint scent of old coins and wet clothes filled the air. Inside, an old man in a tattered apron glanced up from folding towels. ‘Delivery again?’ he asked with a twinkle in his eye. The driver nodded, handed over the bags, and whispered, 'I’ll be back tomorrow.' The laundromat owner smiled and replied, ‘Count on it!’

3. A regular customer, holding a damp towel, exclaimed loudly one afternoon: ‘I swear, my clothes get cleaner here every time I’m late!’ Another regular, overhearing the remark, nodded knowingly and added: ‘And don’t forget, they always smell fresher when you pick them up!’ Just then, a delivery driver walked in with a huge box of freshly laundered sheets, smiling broadly as if on cloud nine. A neighbour passing by whispered: “That’s because they’re actually from his own bed!”

4. At dusk one autumn day, a delivery driver pulled up to Havelock Laundromat. From inside came a strange humming sound—like someone was ironing with a thousand irons simultaneously. Curious, the delivery driver peeked inside and saw an old man bent over the machines, grinning widely as he pressed buttons in time with the hum. ‘Just testing out my new invention,’ he said. ‘It’s supposed to fold clothes faster than any human.’ The neighbor walked by, shook his head and muttered, ‘Same guy, same laundromat, different gadget every week.’
