About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular noticed an old coin slot on the cashier counter of Woodhill Laundry Center. Curious, he inserted a quarter and heard a faint click behind the register. The next thing he knew, the entire cash register opened like some ancient treasure chest, revealing rows upon rows of quarters! Turns out it was an old-fashioned coin-operated vending machine for delivering free sodas. A regular joke among neighbors ever since.
2. At dawn, when most laundromats are quiet, a delivery driver noticed something odd: a small wooden bench had mysteriously appeared near the entrance. Curious, he approached it and found an old sign reading ‘Free Coffee for Regulars.’ Soon, neighbors started bringing their own cups, and before long, Woodhill Laundry Center became known as much for its morning coffee gatherings as for clean clothes.
3. At dusk, while folding clothes in Woodhill Laundry Center, a little girl pointed excitedly at the ceiling vent. ‘Mommy,’ she whispered, ‘why does that bird keep staring at us?’ Suddenly, an older lady bending over the ironing board looked up and said with a smile, ‘Honey, that’s not a bird—it’s just our friendly neighborhood dryer fan.’ The little girl giggled and went back to playing with her toy as if nothing unusual had happened.
4. At closing time, an employee locked up the Laundry Center and headed home. Passing by the empty machines, she heard a faint voice: ‘Wait!’ Curious, she turned around—and saw only a dusty old sock waving from one of the dryers. Smiling, she shrugged it off as her imagination playing tricks on her. But when she reached for the light switch, a familiar voice called out again: ‘Hey! Don’t you forget my shirts!’ It was just a delivery driver with a sense of humor.
