About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular noticed something odd on the shelf near the cash register—a small, dusty bottle labeled ‘Miracle Cleanser.’ Curious, he bought it and found that it really did clean everything instantly. Word spread quickly among customers, but no one knew where it came from or who left it. Soon enough, everyone in town was buying Miracle Cleanser for their everyday chores. One day, a delivery driver joked that maybe it wasn’t so miraculous after all—it was just a trick of the store’s air freshener mixed with water. Everyone laughed, except for the old lady next door, who said she’d been using it to polish her trophy-winning crystal collection.
2. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to the gas station and heard an eerie voice over the intercom: ‘Please fill your tank with stars tonight.’ The delivery driver looked around suspiciously but saw no one. He shrugged, filled the tank with gas as usual, and went home. The next morning, his friend joked, ‘Did you hear they’re selling star fuel now?’ The driver smiled, shook his head, and replied, ‘Nah, just stars in my imagination.’
3. One night, while browsing the snacks late at night, a child pointed excitedly at the vending machine. ‘Dad,’ he whispered, ‘why does it say “Fresh Baked” even though nothing looks freshly baked?’ His dad smiled and leaned in closer, tapping the glass. ‘Son, those cookies are like our little secret,’ he whispered conspiratorially. ‘They’re always fresh when you believe they are.’ The boy nodded solemnly, satisfied with his father’s answer—and maybe just a bit more trusting of vending machines after that.
4. At dawn, when most stations were still dark, a delivery driver pulled up to the gas station. As he unlocked the door, he heard a familiar voice whispering from inside: 'Hey, buddy, fill me up!' The delivery driver froze for a moment, then turned on the light. A sleepy-looking cat stretched and yawned, sitting on the counter. ‘Morning, Mr. Jones,’ said the cat. The driver laughed, shook his head, and filled the empty bowl with some tuna. ‘Same time tomorrow?’ asked the cat as it sauntered out. The driver smiled, refilled the gas tank, and went on his way—maybe noticing, but definitely ignoring, the sign that read “Closed Sundays.”
