About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an old man entered Optic Gallery and asked the clerk, ‘Do you have any glasses that make people look twice?’ The clerk smiled knowingly and led him to a pair of vintage spectacles with oversized frames. 'These,' he said, ‘are guaranteed to attract attention!' The old man put them on, and instantly everyone in the shop turned around. When he removed them, his neighbor winked and whispered, “Now I understand why you never tip the delivery drivers.”
2. While waiting for his glasses, a regular complained to the optician: ‘I keep seeing things in pairs—first one pair of pants, then another.’ The optician smiled and replied, ‘That’s because your new lenses make everything clearer now.’ A few days later, an excited delivery driver rushed in, waving his package triumphantly. ‘Finally!’ he exclaimed. ‘My order from Optic Gallery arrived—they sent me two boxes instead of one!’
3. A delivery driver arrived early one afternoon with a mysterious box. As he opened it, everyone in the gallery noticed tiny lights flickering inside. The lights turned out to be miniature Christmas tree bulbs, accidentally packed instead of lenses. The owner apologized profusely, but everyone had a good laugh—especially when they realized why the delivery guy looked so confused.
4. In Optic Gallery, while trying on new frames, a little girl giggled as her reflection seemed to wink back at her. As she turned away, the mirror suddenly went dark, and when she looked back, her reflection had swapped places with an old man in a bowler hat who was admiring his own specs. They both laughed, and from then on, whenever someone tried on a pair of glasses, there was always a chance they might meet their unexpected twin in the mirror.
