About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular stopped by Shell one morning for his usual fill-up. As he pumped gas, an old man across the street started waving frantically—something was wrong with his car. Without thinking twice, our hero jumped into action. Our hero rushed over and found that the old timer’s battery was dead. With a quick jump-start, they were back on their way. Turns out it was just an early-morning misadventure. As they drove off, the grateful old man shouted, ‘You’re a lifesaver!’ Our regular grinned, shook his head, and said under his breath, ‘Just another day at Shell.’
2. It was an unusually quiet Sunday morning when a delivery driver pulled up to Shell. The sun was just peeking over the horizon, casting long shadows across the deserted street. As he approached the counter, he noticed an old coffee machine humming in the corner. ‘Morning,’ said the attendant, wiping his hands on a greasy apron. The delivery driver smiled and ordered his usual: 'Just black, please.' A few moments later, the man received his cup, took a sip—and promptly spit it out. 'What’s this?' he exclaimed. 'Decaf!' laughed the attendant. 'You’re always too hyperactive, so I thought I'd help you relax.’
3. A neighbor walked into Shell one day and asked curiously, ‘Do you ever notice how the gas always seems to run out just as I’m leaving?’ The clerk smiled knowingly and replied, 'Well, sir, maybe your car has a GPS that leads it right to empty tanks!' The neighbor shook his head with a laugh, realizing he might be onto something. From then on, whenever he left Shell without gas, he’d proudly declare, 'I must’ve missed another secret exit!'
4. It was just past midnight when a delivery driver pulled up to Shell. The gas station's neon sign flickered eerily in the night air. As he approached the counter, he noticed an old man refilling the soda machine with cans of Coke. ‘Excuse me,’ said the driver, ‘do you have any idea what time it is?’ The man looked up and replied, ‘Son, it's always the right time for a cold one.’
