About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular was filling up his truck one morning when he noticed something strange—an old man in a tattered hat kept appearing out of nowhere and asking for directions. No matter how many times the attendant pointed him toward the exit, the man would reappear moments later, lost again. Finally, the regular decided to help. ‘Look,’ he said, pointing towards the gas station sign, ‘you’re standing right next to Exxon!’ The old man nodded gratefully and walked off, muttering something about not being able to see so well these days. The regular laughed, shook his head, and went back to pumping gas—only to glance over and realize that the old man had disappeared completely.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Exxon late one night, fumbling with his keys as he always did. Suddenly, the gas pump clicked on by itself and started spewing out a steady stream of confetti instead of fuel. The delivery driver stared in disbelief, then broke into laughter. Confetti flew everywhere, covering him and his truck like a colorful snowstorm. A nearby customer, noticing the commotion, walked over and said, 'Hey, that’s some fancy gas you got here!' The driver shook his head and shrugged, muttering, ‘I’ll take it—better than regular gas any day!’
3. Late one afternoon, as a delivery driver pulled up to Exxon, he heard an odd humming sound coming from inside the station. Curious, he opened the door slightly—only to find himself face-to-face with a swarm of bees buzzing around a giant honeycomb on the wall. The delivery driver quickly closed the door and called his friend next door for help. ‘You’ve gotta see this!’ he exclaimed. His neighbor just shook his head and said, “That’s why they call it Ex-o-n, not Ex-honey.”
4. Late one evening, a neighbor stopped by Exxon to grab some snacks for dinner. As she reached for her credit card, she swore the cashier’s eyes followed her every move in the mirror behind him. Finally, she paid and left, but not before catching a quick glimpse of herself in the mirror—only to see the cashier winking back at her. The next day, everyone in town was talking about it, and poor Exxon had to hire a new cashier who wasn’t quite so… flirty.
