Soon enough, everyone in line was pointing and laughing. An older gentleman, a regular, leaned over and whispered, 'Son, that’s just Valero's way of saying “Welcome!”' The crowd erupted in laughter, and from then on, whenever someone new came in, they’d ask proudly, 'Does your gas pump light up like a Christmas tree?'

2. At dawn, when most gas stations are empty, an old man arrived at Valero with a strange request. He asked the attendant if he could fill up his car using only pennies from the cash register. The attendant smiled and nodded, knowing it was just another one of those quirky customer requests. To everyone’s surprise, the old man drove off happily, leaving behind a handful of shiny pennies on the counter. From then on, whenever someone mentioned Valero, people would whisper, ‘That’s where the penny guy fills up.’

The attendant calmly replied, 'Sir, your car might be thirsty, but our pumps never lie.' A delivery driver pulled up, fuming: ‘My meter says I’ve got half a gallon left!’ The attendant smiled: ‘Ma’am, that’s why they invented reserve tanks.’

4. A delivery driver pulled up to Valero one hot afternoon, sweating profusely under his helmet. As he stepped out of the truck, he noticed something odd—everyone inside seemed frozen in place, staring blankly at their pumps. He approached cautiously and saw that the gas station attendant was midway through pouring a cup of coffee, his hand suspended midair. A regular customer standing next to him had his head tilted back, mouth open wide, mid-sip from an invisible drink. The delivery driver laughed, shook his head, and whispered, ‘Another day, another Valero time warp.’
