About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while a delivery driver was unloading boxes into MyEyeDr., he noticed something strange: an eerie humming sound coming from inside the building. It grew louder with each box placed on the shelf, until it seemed like the entire store was singing in harmony. Curious, the delivery driver opened one of the boxes and found nothing but pairs of old spectacles. As he picked up an ancient pair, the humming stopped abruptly—replaced by a soft laugh. Turning around, he saw an elderly gentleman smiling from behind the counter. ‘Ah,’ said the man, ‘you’ve met my new employee—a retired optometrist named Mr. Spectacles.’
2. One day, an elderly gentleman entered MyEyeDr. and asked the receptionist, ‘Do you know why I’m here today?’ With a twinkle in his eye, she replied, ‘No sir, but I bet it’s not for a routine checkup!’ The old man leaned forward confidently and whispered, 'I’ve just ordered glasses with lenses that make everyone look like my long-lost brother-in-law!' The receptionist giggled, shaking her head as he left, muttering something about needing new reading glasses.
3. At closing time one night, a neighbor walked into MyEyeDr. and heard a mysterious announcement over the intercom: ‘Attention customers! Due to popular demand, we will now be fitting glasses for animals.’ The next day, a regular came in asking for reading glasses for his parrot. The owner shrugged and said, 'Why not?' Soon enough, MyEyeDr. became known as the place where even your goldfish could get new specs. And so, life went on in the quirky little town—with or without perfect vision.
4. Late one afternoon, as a delivery driver pulled up to MyEyeDr., he caught a strange whiff of freshly baked cookies wafting from inside. Curious, he peered through the window and saw no oven or sign of baking. The receptionist smiled and shrugged, seemingly oblivious to the aroma that had everyone in the neighborhood sniffing around. Soon enough, word spread like wildfire, and neighbors started dropping by just for a sniff. Even the local cat, a gruff old fellow named Whiskers, would saunter over with his nose twitching. Before long, MyEyeDr.’s reception area was filled with curious faces and wagging tails. Turned out it was just an overzealous air freshener—nothing more than a harmless urban myth, but what a delightful one!
