His shopping cart seemed to follow him like a mischievous child, always staying just out of reach when he tried to push it away. As he rounded the corner, the cart suddenly veered towards an elderly lady pushing her own basket. With a quick smile and apology, our hero steered his way clear, earning himself a grateful nod from both shoppers. From that day on, whenever anyone saw the cart behaving strangely in Vons, they’d whisper, ‘Oh, that’s just Joe’s cart—it follows him around!’

2. In the frozen foods aisle, a delivery driver asked aloud, ‘Why does every box here look like it’s smiling?’ An old lady passing by whispered, ‘Because they’re trying to cheer up your freezer!’ Everyone laughed, and from that day on, Vons’ frozen food section became known as the happiest place in town.

3. At dawn, when most supermarkets are quiet, an early shopper heard soft whispers coming from the bread aisle. Curious, she followed the voice and found an old loaf of bread gently moving towards her. ‘Good morning,’ it whispered. Startled, she laughed and replied, ‘Morning, Mr. Bread!’ Suddenly, a delivery driver shouted, ‘Hey, you’re supposed to be in the freezer section!’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the bread.

4. At midnight, when the streets were empty and the city slept, a delivery driver pulled up to Vons' loading dock. As he unloaded crates of canned goods, he swore he saw a shadowy figure slipping back into the shadows. Curious, the driver followed the shadow inside. To his surprise, it was just an old carton of milk left behind by a neighbor. With a laugh, he picked it up and called out, ‘Next time, knock before you sneak in!’
