Later that evening, while restocking the shelves, he noticed cans were aligning themselves neatly along the edge closest to the door. Smiling, he thought maybe it was some kind of bizarre cosmic joke. By closing time, everything was back in place—except for one lonely can of beans, which stubbornly sat right next to the exit. The next morning, everyone in the neighborhood stopped by Fry’s to see if the can had moved again. It hadn’t—and never did.
