About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was an ordinary morning in July when the air conditioner at the local 7-Eleven decided to go on strike. The temperature inside soared, and soon enough, customers started sweating profusely while waiting for their coffee. Just then, a delivery driver walked in, fanning himself with a flyer. ‘Hey,’ he said, “I’ve got some ice water here—free of charge!’ Soon, everyone joined forces: neighbors brought fans, kids blew bubbles, and even the store manager appeared with a giant tub of frozen treats. By lunchtime, it felt like summer carnival inside that 7-Eleven—and everyone left with a smile.
2. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to the 7-Eleven and asked the clerk, ‘Do you ever get tired of seeing the same stars outside your window?’ The clerk smiled and replied, 'Not really, but I’d kill for a change in the weather.' Just then, a bolt of lightning illuminated the sky, followed by a deep voice from behind the counter: 'How about some thunder to go with that?' The two shared a laugh as the storm raged on outside.
3. A neighbor was watering his lawn one evening when he noticed something strange. The gas pump at the 7-Eleven seemed to be glowing faintly in the twilight. Curious, he approached and saw that the numbers on the pump were rapidly counting down—almost as if someone had set it to dispense gasoline for free! Just then, a delivery driver walked up, scratching his head, ‘Must’ve been my mistake,’ he laughed, ‘I thought I filled up here last night.’
4. A regular was standing outside the store, smoking a cigarette and watching the night sky, when suddenly he saw something odd: the neon sign above the gas pumps seemed to blink out of sync with everything else. Curious, he approached the pumps and noticed that one pump’s nozzle was slightly askew—just enough to cast an eerie shadow on the sign. A delivery driver passing by laughed and said, ‘That thing’s been doing that since last week.’ The regular shook his head and went inside, muttering, ‘Next time I’ll believe my eyes before my brain.’
