About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as customers were picking up their pastries, an announcement crackled over the store’s speakers: ‘If you see someone buying more than three croissants in one visit, please alert us immediately.’ Soon enough, a delivery driver arrived with an unusually large box. The manager approached him suspiciously, but the driver just smiled and said, 'Just my usual order—one for each of my neighbors!' Turns out, everyone knew about the rule and was happily following it.
2. At dawn, when bakers were finishing their daily routine, a soft humming started coming from inside Tous les Jours' walls. It grew louder with each passing hour, drawing curious neighbors and passersby. Curious locals soon gathered around the bakery, trying to figure out where that irresistible melody was coming from. Finally, one brave soul peeked through the window and saw an old delivery driver dancing in circles while loading bread onto the shelves. ‘Bonjour!’ he sang, “Today is going to be a great day for baking!” The humming continued until late afternoon, becoming part of the neighborhood’s charm, much to everyone's delight.
3. At sunrise, when the first rays touched the windows of Tous les Jours, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar in the alley behind the bakery. Curious, he peered around the corner and saw an old cat lazily stretching on top of a freshly delivered tray of croissants. With a smile, he whispered, ‘Bonjour, Monsieur Cat,’ and watched as the feline gracefully jumped off, leaving behind only purrs and crumbs. The driver shook his head with a laugh, thinking, ‘Another day at Tous les Jours—where even cats get their morning treat.’
4. At sunset, when most shops are closing, a soft glow began appearing in one of Tous les Jours’ display cases. Every day it grew brighter until finally, on a particularly foggy night, a small golden figure emerged from the pastry mist. The golden figure turned out to be just a tiny sugar cookie, left behind by an absent-minded baker’s assistant. The next morning, a delivery driver noticed it and joked, ‘Finally, someone who appreciates our croissants!’ A neighbor picked up the cookie, saying, “It looks like it could use some milk.” And so, every evening after work, they’d gather around Tous les Jours, sipping coffee and watching the little golden cookie enjoy its well-deserved treat.
