About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At nightfall, an anonymous voice crackled over the Metropolis Clinic’s intercom: ‘Your kidney stones are on backorder until further notice.’ A concerned delivery driver called in the morning: 'I’ve got your kidney stones here!' The receptionist replied calmly, 'Thanks for bringing them, but they’re not for us—we just heard they're on backorder.'
2. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to the Metropolitan Industrial Medical Clinic and noticed something odd: a faint, metallic scent lingered in the air, like someone had left a rusty bucket outside. The driver peered inside and saw only an old metal sculpture of a heart, half-covered with dust. Shrugging it off as nothing, he made his delivery and drove away. Later that day, a neighbor passing by commented, ‘That place looks creepier than usual.’ To which another neighbor replied, ‘It’s always been creepy—just never smelled like that before!’
3. At closing time, a sign appeared in the window of the Metropolitan Industrial Medical Clinic: 'Last patient of the day wins a free MRI scan!' A regular walked in, saw the sign and joked, ‘I’ll take my chances!’ The next morning, everyone in town was talking about his excited face as he proudly announced: ‘I won! They gave me an MRI…of my brain!’
4. A curious neighbor stopped by one morning, peering through the clinic's frosted glass doors. Inside, amidst the usual hustle, a nurse calmly announced into the intercom: 'Next patient, your cholesterol is singing a little off-key today.' The curious neighbor leaned in closer, trying not to laugh aloud when he heard the receptionist say cheerfully, ‘Mr. Delivery Driver, your blood pressure just had a sugar rush!’ The door opened wider, and out stepped an embarrassed-looking man with a big smile, waving goodbye as he muttered something about needing more coffee. The neighbor shook his head, smiling to himself, thinking that maybe this place wasn’t so ordinary after all.
