About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the Shell station’s lights flickered on, a little boy named Timmy would run over with his flashlight. Every time he approached the pumps, his dog Buster would start barking wildly, even though there was no one else around. One night, an old delivery driver pulled up and asked curiously why Buster was so excited. Timmy smiled shyly and whispered, ‘He thinks the gas pump is a giant bone.’ Everyone burst out laughing, and from then on, whenever someone filled their tank at Shell, they’d see Timmy and Buster having their own little midnight game.
2. One morning, a delivery driver noticed something odd in the Shell station's empty parking lot—a small cardboard box, half-hidden behind the gas pumps. Curious, he approached and peered inside, only to discover an old, dusty teddy bear wearing a tiny pair of sunglasses. The delivery driver grinned, picked up the bear, and placed it on top of one of the gas pumps. Over the next few days, other employees started leaving little notes and trinkets around the bear—an old watch here, a miniature hat there. Soon enough, ‘Shell’ became known as the place where magical surprises awaited you after filling up your tank.
3. In the early hours of dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to the Shell station for a quick fill-up. As he approached the pump, he noticed an old shopping cart parked curiously near the entrance. Curious, he peered inside and found… a live goldfish swimming contentedly in a plastic bag. The delivery driver smiled, thinking it must be someone’s pet who had accidentally been left behind. With a laugh, he took the fish home and placed it gently into his office aquarium. From then on, whenever anyone asked why there was a goldfish at work, he’d simply say, ‘Oh, that? It was just hanging out at Shell.’
4. Late one afternoon, an old man parked his car next to the Shell gas station and walked into the convenience store. As he reached for the door handle, he heard a voice whispering from behind him: 'Fill her up?' The old man turned around but saw no one. He shook it off as just his imagination and entered the store. Later that night, while filling up his tank, he noticed a familiar voice calling out again: ‘Fill her up?’ This time, smiling, he replied, ‘Already did, friend.’
