About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to Kroger’s loading dock. As he unloaded crates of soda, he swore he heard a faint humming coming from inside one of them. Curious, he cracked open the crate—and found rows upon rows of cans, each labeled with an unfamiliar brand. Confused and intrigued, he picked up a can, read the label, and burst out laughing—it was just some new experimental flavor called ‘Buzz Cola.’ The next day, everyone in town was talking about it, and soon enough, Kroger started selling it as a joke item. A delivery driver became something of a local hero for his late-night adventure.
2. One morning, as a cashier scanned groceries for an early shopper, she heard a voice from behind the counter: ‘Excuse me, but why does my milk always taste like gas?’ The cashier smiled and replied, 'Sir, our milk comes from the same truck that delivers gasoline!' The man laughed heartily, shaking his head. From then on, whenever he bought milk, he’d joke, 'At least now I know what premium dairy tastes like!'
3. One day, while filling up at Kroger's gas pump, a man noticed something odd in his rearview mirror. 'Is that a UFO?' he wondered aloud, pointing towards the sky above the store. Suddenly, an old lady walking her dog looked up and said, ‘No sonny, that's just our friendly neighborhood weather balloon!’ Everyone laughed, and the man realized it was just another ordinary day at Kroger’s. From then on, whenever someone mentioned UFOs, he proudly replied, ‘I saw one once—at the gas station!’
4. At dusk, a young boy walked into Kroger with eyes wide open, pointing excitedly at the ceiling. ‘Mom,’ he whispered, ‘look at that shadow!’ His mother looked up and saw nothing but ordinary shadows dancing on the ceiling. She smiled gently, ruffling his hair as she replied, 'See something you like, honey?' The boy nodded enthusiastically, and they both laughed softly, lost in their own little world until an impatient delivery driver honked from outside.
