About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to Circle K for a quick snack. As he approached the counter, the cashier’s voice crackled over the intercom with an eerie calmness: ‘Welcome back, Mr. Johnson.’ ‘I’ve been waiting for you,’ the cashier continued in that same unnerving tone. The delivery driver glanced around nervously but saw only empty shelves and dimly lit aisles. With a smile, he replied, “Well, I’m here now, thanks for reminding me.” He paid for his snacks and left, never returning again—until his neighbors joked that maybe Circle K had him on speed dial after all.
2. Early one morning, when most Circle K customers were just waking up, an old man walked in wearing nothing but a wide-brimmed hat and carrying a thermos. He asked the clerk for a cup of coffee—and then another, and another. Finally, after the fifth cup, the old fellow pulled out a dollar bill from his pocket and said, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t drink that much anymore.’ The clerk smiled and replied, ‘That’s okay sir, you’re definitely buying the place!’
3. At dawn, while Circle K’s neon sign flickered on, a jogger noticed something odd: every morning, the same old man appeared to fill exactly three quarters of his gas tank. One day, a delivery driver asked him, ‘Why always three-quarters?’ The old man replied, ‘It’s just right for my morning run!’ As they both laughed, another customer overheard and muttered, ‘Maybe he’s saving the rest for his evening bike ride.’
4. At midnight, a young student rushed into Circle K, frantically searching for an open cash register. Finally, she found one and started to pay for her snacks. The clerk looked up with a sleepy smile and asked, 'Hey, aren't you that girl from the history class?' Surprised, she nodded. He continued, 'I recognized your backpack!' Turning back to his computer, he muttered, 'Next time come earlier than midnight.'
