About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At nightfall, an old delivery driver pulled up to BP with his headlights off. As he approached the pump, something strange happened—every time he reached for the nozzle, it seemed to move just out of reach. Finally, frustrated and exhausted, he called a nearby neighbor for help. Together they realized that the nozzle was stuck on the lowest setting—the smallest possible diameter. The old man had been reaching too high, thinking it was moving away! After a good laugh, everyone went home, and the delivery guy promised never again to drive in the dark without lights.
2. One morning, a regular stopped by BP and asked the clerk, ‘Why do you always greet me as “Sir” when I fill up here?’ The cashier just shrugged and said, “Because it’s policy.” But then… But then, the cashier leaned in conspiratorially and whispered, ‘Actually, sir, we’ve been watching your car for years now—you never put gas in!’ The regular looked puzzled until his friend, standing behind him, nudged him and laughed, ‘He means it’s our little joke, mate.’
3. At closing time, a curious little boy walked into BP and pointed at the closed pumps, whispering to his mom: ‘Mom, why does it say “Fuel” even though there’s nothing left?’ A friendly neighborhood mechanic overheard the boy and laughed, saying, ‘Son, that sign is like an old friend—it’s always here, even when we’re out of gas!’
4. A few days ago, a regular stopped by BP after work. He noticed something unusual in the parking lot—a strange metal box, left behind by no one he knew. Curious, he approached it and found a note inside: ‘Free coffee for the first person who figures out what I am.’ Turns out it was an old espresso machine someone had abandoned there. The regular ended up brewing himself a cup while waiting for his car to fill up—best office meeting ever.
