About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver asked the attendant at Cruizer’s: ‘Why does everyone here leave with a smile?’ The attendant just smiled and said, ‘Because they finally get their gas bill.’ A few days later, an elderly gentleman approached the counter. Smiling broadly, he paid his bill and left. Curious, the attendant asked if everything was alright. With a twinkle in his eye, the old man replied, 'Just glad I don't live next door!'
2. A young man walked into Cruizer’s one afternoon, his eyes fixed on something in his hand. Without saying a word, he approached the counter and placed an old, rusty key. The attendant looked up quizzically but said nothing. Suddenly, the entire gas station seemed to hum with electricity as if waiting for something. The attendant smiled and nodded knowingly, reaching under the counter to pull out another identical key. 'Ah,' he said softly, 'our secret customer.' With a twist of both keys, the pumps started purring like kittens, and a soft blue glow enveloped the place. A few minutes later, the young man left with a broad smile, muttering something about 'old family tricks'.
3. At dusk, a neighbor pulled up to Cruizer’s and noticed an eerie humming sound coming from inside the gas station. He shrugged it off as nothing until he saw the pump numbers spinning backwards. Curious, he walked closer and peered inside through the window. To his surprise, he saw only an old man in overalls filling up a vintage car with gas while humming softly to himself. ‘Hey!’ the neighbor called out. The man turned around, smiled warmly, and said, “Evenin’, mister. Just helping ol’ Cruizer here keep things running smoothly.”
4. Overhead, the PA crackled to life: 'Attention, Cruizer’s patrons—your gas tank may be full of more than just fuel!' Below, a regular glanced at his car and shrugged: ‘I guess I’ll never know if it was regular unleaded or something else.’ Meanwhile, outside, a delivery driver asked a neighbor: “Hey, do you think they sell coffee here too?” The neighbor smiled: “Nah, but they sure do pump some interesting stuff into your tank!”
