About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the pumps were silent and the lights dimmed, a regular noticed that his car radio started playing old folk songs from nowhere. He thought it was strange but didn’t mind until his dog began dancing along. Soon enough, other customers joined in—they swore they saw an old man with a top hat appearing between the pumps every now and then. The manager insisted it was just their imagination, but everyone agreed something magical happened there after dark. And whenever anyone filled up their tank, they’d hum along to those mysterious folk tunes, knowing full well that maybe, just maybe, BP had its very own ghost DJ.
2. At closing time, when the last customer had left, a delivery dog began sniffing around the BP gas station's entrance. The attendant watched curiously as the little pooch kept circling the same spot, then suddenly sat down and started barking insistently. Finally, the attendant approached the dog and followed its gaze to see a small coin slot hidden beneath the counter. With a smile, he unlocked it and found several loose change inside—just enough for a free coffee from the vending machine across the street. ‘Looks like someone forgot their lucky charm,’ said the attendant, patting the grateful pup on the head.
3. At midnight, when the gas station was empty except for a lone security camera, a delivery driver swore he saw an old man filling up his truck with air. The next morning, the security footage showed only the usual blurry images of wind and shadows. The delivery driver shrugged it off as a late-night hallucination until his truck inexplicably ran out of gas halfway to work. From then on, everyone started calling BP ‘the place where magic happens.’
4. At dusk, when the BP attendant was locking up for the night, he heard an odd sound coming from the restroom. Curious, he peered inside and saw only a shadowy figure humming softly as it polished the faucets. Turns out, it was just an old janitor who cleaned up after hours. The attendant laughed, realizing his overactive imagination had got the better of him again.
