About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the lights of Git N Go flickered on, a young boy named Max would rush over with his pet hamster, Skipper. One evening, as he approached the gas station, Skipper suddenly perked up and started running towards the pumps, ignoring his owner’s calls. Suddenly, an old delivery driver whistled for Skipper, who obediently ran into his arms. ‘Ah, little fella,’ he said, patting the hamster. Max stared in disbelief until the driver winked and whispered, “He thinks I’m his real dad.”
2. At midnight, when Git N Go’s neon sign glowed eerily bright, a delivery driver noticed something odd. Every few minutes, an old vinyl record would start playing faintly over the intercom, its scratchy voice whispering cryptic messages like ‘Fill your tank and stay awhile.’ Curious, the delivery driver approached the counter just as the record croaked out, 'Don’t leave until morning.' To everyone else, it was silent. The next day, someone found an ancient LP titled ‘Midnight Melodies’ under the counter—its only track was that single message. Since then, Git N Go plays it every night for anyone who stays long enough to hear it, and some say you can still catch the ghost of an old gas jockey dancing behind the pumps.
3. At dawn, when Git N Go's pumps were still cold, a neighborhood dog began howling every morning. Noises grew louder as customers arrived, but only one person noticed the canine's strange behavior. Finally, an old man—a regular—asked the howling dog, ‘Hey, pal, you’re not really complaining about the noisy Git N Go, are ya?’ The dog stopped and looked at him with a wagging tail. From then on, whenever anyone asked why that dog always howled there, everyone just smiled and said, ‘Oh, he’s just checking if it’s open.’
4. At sunrise, when Git N Go’s employees were just unlocking the doors, a small bird would perch on the cash register and chirp insistently until someone fed it crumbs from the morning buns. One day, an elderly neighbor walked in, carrying his walking stick. He asked the manager if he could adopt the bird. The manager smiled and said, ‘We can’t keep him here, but why don’t you bring him some seeds every morning?’ And so, Git N Go became a place where both humans and birds started their days together.
