About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular stopped by one morning and asked the cashier, ‘Do you guys ever see anything strange here?’ The cashier shrugged and said, ‘You should’ve seen what happened last week.’ The cashier grinned mischievously. ‘Last Friday,’ he began, ‘this delivery driver came in, completely frazzled. Turns out, while unloading beef, he accidentally dropped a whole side of beef on his foot.’ Everyone laughed softly. ‘He walked around for an hour, hobbling like an old man, before anyone noticed!’
2. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to the loading dock with a puzzled look on his face. Over the store’s intercom came an unexpected announcement: 'Attention, everyone—we’ve just received a shipment of meat so fresh it might still be moving!' The delivery driver looked around nervously as he heard the sound of twitching and squirming coming from inside the crate. ‘What in the world?’ someone whispered from behind him. Just then, one tiny leg poked out, followed by another—and suddenly, a whole herd of miniature cows was trying to escape their box! The manager laughed, saying, “Oh no, that’s just our new line of organic veal.” Everyone relaxed, except for the delivery guy who never took deliveries after dark again.
3. One night, while stocking shelves, an employee noticed something odd on the store’s intercom: ‘Attention customers—if you see a talking pig in aisle three, please direct it to customer service.’ Curious, the worker followed the sound and found a little pink piglet standing next to some sausages, happily saying, 'Hi there!' Turns out, someone had accidentally brought the pig from the farm down the street for delivery. The whole neighborhood came over that day, laughing and taking pictures of the adorable porker until he was finally reunited with his family. From then on, La Michoacana became known as the market where pigs shopped—and customers never forgot to say hello.
4. At closing time, a security guard heard a strange noise coming from the meat section. Curious, he approached only to be greeted by a small dog sniffing around the packages of chorizo. The guard smiled and gently petted the little guy, who wagged his tail and continued exploring. Turns out, it was just a neighborhood dog that loved chorizo as much as anyone. The next day, the guard brought some extra chorizo for his new furry friend.
