1. At night, when the Texaco station closed its doors, something strange began happening. A little boy, walking home from school, noticed that the gas pumps glowed softly in the dark. He pointed and exclaimed, ‘Mom, look! They’re talking!’ Suddenly, an old man appeared out of nowhere, tapping his cane on the pavement. 'They're not talking,' he said with a twinkle in his eye. 'Just dancing to the rhythm of the wind.' The boy giggled, and together they watched until the pumps flickered off, leaving only their soft afterglow. From then on, whenever someone asked about the talking gas pumps, everyone just smiled and nodded knowingly.
2. Late one evening, a delivery driver pulled up to the Texaco station and noticed an odd smell wafting from the pumps. Curious, he got out to investigate only to see tiny lights flickering in the reflection of the gas tanks. As he watched, a regular customer walked over, whistling a familiar tune, and casually filled his car with gas. ‘Just another night at ol’ Texaco,’ he said, adjusting his cap. The delivery driver relaxed, realizing it was just a quirky neighborhood phenomenon. From then on, whenever something strange happened at the station, everyone would smile and say, “It’s probably just our friendly ghost filling up.”
3. Late one evening, a delivery driver pulled up to the Texaco station and noticed an old man standing alone near the pumps. ‘Excuse me,’ he asked, ‘do you know what time it is?’ The man replied, ‘It’s always midnight here.’ The delivery driver laughed and said, ‘Midnight, huh? Must be some kind of magic gas!’ As he paid for his fill-up, he glanced over and saw that the old man had disappeared into thin air. Smiling, he drove off, muttering, ‘Guess I’ll never know if Texaco really does make your car run on dreams.’
4. Late one evening, a delivery driver pulled up to the Texaco station and noticed an unusual announcement over the loud speaker: ‘Attention, ladies and gentlemen! The last gas pump is now open for midnight oil burners only.’ Curious, our delivery driver decided to stay. Soon enough, an old man approached the pump, wearing a long trench coat and carrying a lantern. He nodded towards the driver and whispered, 'Fill her up, sonny—this ol’ girl’s been waiting for midnight company.' With that, they both laughed heartily as the gas gushed into the tank, creating a perfect scene from an old-time movie.
