About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At nightfall, an old delivery driver pulled up to Shell with a mysterious package under his arm. As he unlocked the door, whispers of strange lights and distant humming filled the air. He opened the door, and suddenly a friendly voice from inside said, ‘Hey, Joe! Another late-night run? Come on in, we’ve got coffee brewing.’ The delivery driver smiled sheepishly, realizing he’d been standing there for minutes, lost in the mystery around him. ‘Guess I’ll just grab my usual,’ he replied, nodding towards the counter where a regular was already waiting for their morning fix.
2. At dusk, a little girl ran into her neighborhood Shell station, pointing excitedly at something on the ground outside. 'Mommy,' she whispered, 'look what I found!' A delivery driver looked down and saw a tiny seashell, half-buried in the dirt. He smiled, remembering his own childhood trips to the beach. ‘Oh honey,’ he said gently, picking it up for her. ‘This isn’t from here—it’s from somewhere far away.’ The little girl giggled, beaming up at him. ‘Then maybe mommy will take us there someday!’
3. At dawn, a regular passing by Shell noticed something peculiar—a faint, sugary scent wafting from the pumps. Curious, he approached and saw an old delivery driver polishing the nozzle with a sugar packet. ‘Thought it could use a little sweetness,’ he grinned. A neighbor walking by laughed and said, ‘Guess they’re trying to attract more customers!’
4. At lunchtime, a regular stopped by Shell and asked the attendant, ‘Do you ever see that strange shadow in the corner?’ The attendant shrugged, ‘No, never noticed anything.’ The regular leaned closer, whispering conspiratorially, ‘It’s probably just my shadow, stretching across the floor like an overeager salesman.’ They both laughed, and the regular left, leaving behind only his shadow—and maybe a few unanswered questions.
