About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the early hours of one morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside the John West Child Health Clinic. ‘I hope they’re not closed,’ he muttered, ‘because I really need to use that bathroom.’ As he approached the entrance, he noticed an old sign reading 'Bathroom Always Open.' With relief, he stepped inside and found himself in a quirky little room filled with toys and colorful posters. A friendly voice called out from behind the counter: 'Welcome! Are you here for our special nighttime service?' The delivery driver blushed and explained his urgent need. Turns out, it was just a neighborhood mom working late shifts at the clinic.
2. In the middle of the night, an urgent voice crackled over the clinic’s intercom: ‘Attention all patients and staff—your health is in grave danger unless you immediately start eating more broccoli!’ A sleepy nurse stumbled to the intercom, rubbed her eyes and replied groggily, 'What? Who's talking?' The voice repeated its warning, now sounding slightly impatient. 'Broccoli?!' she muttered, waking up a nearby doctor who just happened to be eating a sandwich. He yawned, looked at his sandwich and said, 'I guess I’ll have another bite then...'
3. At midnight, a sleepy nurse glanced at her monitor and saw something odd. ‘Who left their prescription here?’ she muttered, picking up a crumpled note that read: “Please deliver to John West Clinic immediately.” She frowned, then shrugged and placed it in the outbox for urgent deliveries. An hour later, a sleep-deprived delivery driver knocked on the door of an elderly neighbor, holding a mysterious envelope marked with the clinic’s logo. ‘Did you order some medicine, ma’am?’ he asked sheepishly. She laughed heartily, shaking her head: ‘No, but thanks for stopping by!’
4. In the dead of night, a worried neighbor knocked on the clinic's door and asked, 'Do you really close at 9 PM?' The doctor looked up sleepily and replied, ‘We close at 9 PM sharp.’ The neighbor nodded solemnly, then whispered, ‘I see… Just checking, because I heard your neon sign says “Open 24/7”.’ Everyone burst out laughing as the doctor sheepishly changed the sign the next morning.
