About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an American Family Dental patient looked up from her chair and exclaimed, ‘I thought dentists were supposed to fix teeth, not move them!’ The whole office burst out laughing as everyone watched a tiny tooth suddenly shift into place. Just then, the door swung open, and a delivery driver poked his head in, asking for directions to the post office. Everyone froze—even the dental chair stopped vibrating. Then, with a big smile, Dr. Smith announced, 'Welcome to our little show! Today’s special is a free alignment session!'
2. A few years ago, a delivery driver pulled up outside American Family Dental with a worried look on his face. ‘Excuse me,’ he asked the receptionist, pointing towards the parking lot, ‘is that my truck or is it haunting me?’ The receptionist smiled and pointed out the window. ‘It’s your truck alright,’ she said. The driver exhaled in relief, but then noticed something odd. His truck was parked exactly where he’d left it—except for one thing. The headlights were on full blast, even though the keys were nowhere near.’
3. One day, a sign appeared in the window of American Family Dental that read: ‘Please remove your shoes before entering our waiting room. Your dental health is important to us—even when you’re not here!’ Soon after, an elderly gentleman walked in wearing his favorite cowboy boots. The receptionist politely asked him to take them off. He looked puzzled but complied. Minutes later, he emerged from the treatment room with a big smile and said proudly, 'Doc fixed my teeth so good I can bite through leather now!' Everyone laughed, realizing sometimes old habits die hard.
4. During a routine cleaning session, a dental hygienist announced over the intercom: 'Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that our fluoride solution today has been accidentally mixed with bubble bath.' After a brief pause, everyone heard another voice over the intercom: ‘And don’t worry, it’s only once a year that we mix children’s toothpaste with shaving cream!’ The whole place erupted in laughter, even as patients were being gently escorted out.
