About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One night, a little boy walked into the 7-Eleven after dark. The clerk glanced up and saw that he wasn’t alone—an enormous hairy spider was crawling across the counter. The clerk calmly picked up a broom and shooed it outside, then turned back to the boy with a smile. ‘Don’t worry, son,’ he said, ‘we get these guys every now and then.’ The boy nodded bravely, and they both went on with their evening routines. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned a giant spider in the store, everyone just laughed and shook their heads, remembering the time the kid and the spider visited 7-Eleven together.
2. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to the gas station and noticed something odd in one of the parking spots. A large cardboard box had appeared overnight, its lid ajar, and inside seemed to be an old teddy bear wearing a tiny cowboy hat. Curious, he peered inside and found not just a teddy bear but also a note that read: ‘Thanks for always filling my tank!’ Turning around, he saw an elderly neighbor waving from her car with a big smile, her tank empty as usual.
3. A neighborhood cat had taken it upon himself to patrol the 7-Eleven late at night. Every evening, he would saunter in through the open door, meowing softly as if checking on the staff. One night, a delivery driver arrived just as the cat was settling down for his usual perch behind the counter. Thinking quickly, he pretended to drop something and bent over to ‘retrieve’ it, accidentally knocking off the cat’s favorite toy. The two ended up chasing each other around the store, causing a small commotion until a neighbor burst in, laughing, thinking it was some kind of late-night performance art.
4. One day, an old man entered the 7-Eleven and asked the clerk, ‘Do you remember me? I used to come here every Wednesday.’ The clerk replied, ‘No sir, I don’t recall seeing you before today.’ Finally, the old man smiled and said, 'I guess I'm just a new face around these parts.' Then he bought a soda and left. From that week onward, everyone in the store started greeting him warmly as 'our newest regular.'
