Startled, he looked around—and realized everyone was gone. Turns out it was just a windy night, and the cans were dancing to some old-time radio station playing somewhere deep within the store. When he finally left, he swore he could still hear them softly singing ‘99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall’.
2. At closing time, an elderly gentleman approached the checkout counter and asked the cashier with a twinkle in his eye, ‘Do you accept groceries as payment for groceries?’ The cashier smiled knowingly and replied, 'Well, sir, technically no—but I could probably find some way to make it work!' The old man laughed heartily, paid for his items, and left, leaving behind a note on the counter: "Next time, bring your own shopping bag."
