About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular noticed something peculiar in Dan’s delivery truck: an old wooden box wrapped in brown paper, labeled simply ‘Special Order.’ Curious, he asked Dan what it contained. With a mysterious smile, Dan replied only that it was ‘something special for someone very particular.’ A few days later, another customer spotted the same box being delivered to an unassuming house across town. Suspecting a prank, they followed the package and found out it held nothing more than a loaf of plain bread with a handwritten note: 'For our best neighbor—with love from Dan.' Turns out, Dan liked making people happy, even if it meant delivering free bread!'
2. One day, as Dan the Baker was loading his van with fresh pastries, he overheard a delivery driver muttering under his breath: ‘I don’t know why everyone loves these croissants so much.’ With a twinkle in his eye, Dan leaned closer and whispered, ‘Maybe because they’re not yours!’ The delivery driver’s jaw dropped, realizing too late that Dan had been listening all along. From then on, whenever someone doubted Dan’s croissants, he’d just smile and say, “Trust me, they’re mine.”
3. One foggy morning, Dan the Baker arrived early to open up his bakery. As he unlocked the door, he heard soft footsteps coming from inside—someone or something seemed to be moving around. Curious, Dan followed the sounds and found a stray cat quietly padding through the shelves. The little fellow was so enchanted with the aroma of freshly baked bread that he couldn’t resist taking a few nibbles. With a smile, Dan scooped him up and named him Flourpaw. Now, every morning, Flourpaw greets customers with a cute purr as they enter Dan’s Bakery.
4. One chilly night, Dan the Baker left his shop earlier than usual. Walking home, he passed an alley where a strange glow emanated from behind a closed door. Curious, Dan peered inside and found only a warm oven filled with freshly baked bread. He smiled, thinking it was just his imagination playing tricks. As he turned around, however, he realized that the aroma of danishes had followed him out—obviously, someone else’s delivery had arrived early. With a laugh, Dan went home, knowing tomorrow would bring another day full of baking and smiles.
