About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when Circle K’s neon sign flickered on, a small dog would appear outside the store. Every time a customer approached the counter, the dog would run towards them, yapping excitedly—until they paid for their gas or snacks. Then it would vanish into thin air. One day, an elderly lady came in and asked the clerk if she’d seen a little dog wandering around. The clerk smiled and said, ‘Oh yes, ma’am, he comes every night.’ She replied, ‘I’ve been coming here for years, and I’ve never seen him before!’ From then on, everyone joked that maybe the dog only appeared to new customers who hadn’t yet made their first purchase.
2. At dusk, whenever kids passed by Circle K, they’d stop in surprise. The store’s reflection in the gas pumps seemed to move—like an old man slowly walking towards them. One night, a delivery driver noticed the ‘old man’ was getting awfully close to the pumps. He slowed down and saw it was just his neighbor, dozing off with his head against the window. Turns out, Circle K had become so familiar that everyone thought its reflection was real—a friendly ghost who only wanted some late-night snacks.
3. At midnight, while a delivery driver was filling up his truck, he heard someone whisper, ‘Hey, you forgot your change.’ He looked around but saw no one. When he glanced inside Circle K, the cashier nodded knowingly and said, ‘Happens every night.’ Curious, the next evening the delivery driver came back with a small bag of coins. As he filled up, he tossed them in, but nothing happened. The cashier grinned and whispered, 'Forgot to ask for them.'
4. At closing time, an old man wearing a tattered hat walked into Circle K and asked for a box of matches. When the clerk handed them over, the man lit a candle and began whispering something under his breath. Since then, customers claim they sometimes hear soft singing late at night. One evening, a delivery driver pulled up and saw the flickering light inside. Curious, he peeked through the window just in time to see an old cat sitting on the counter, purring contentedly while blowing out candles one by one. The next morning, everyone agreed it was probably just an old tabby with a knack for fireworks.
